Description
Hemizonia congesta has unknown number of seeds per pound. Hemizonia thrives in a variety of open, sunny habitats, including grasslands, roadsides and disturbed areas. It is adapted to well-drained soils and is a workhorse species for restoration.
Seed treatment recommendations: Direct sowing is recommended, though scarifying the seed with sandpaper or a file may improve germination rates. Sow in fall or stratify under cold moist conditions for 2-4 weeks before spring sowing.
