Donate or Keep?
We realize not everyone has space for a large patch of milkweed in your yard! If that's you, we have a solution: Purchase as many patches as you like and write "Donate" in the box above. We will plant the patches for you in areas we have identified as being critically low in milkweed to support monarchs and other pollinators. And, we'll invite you to be part of the fun when we do the planting!
Support Habitat Conservation for Monarchs & All Pollinators!
Consider purchasing a patch for yourself, and donating a patch to RNPP. Your purchase will not only help monarchs thrive in the Rogue Valley but also help support our crucial mission of supporting local growers, science-backed habitat restoration, and plant conservation.
Plant a Milkweed Patch: Support Monarchs AND the RNPP!
Milkweed is essential for the survival of monarch butterflies, which are on the decline in the western US. It’s the only plant that monarch larvae can feed on, and as adults these butterflies feed on the nectar as well. Milkweed also provides nectar for a variety of other pollinators and insects, including beautiful iridescent milkweed beetles and native bees.
Milkweed is very easy to grow and tolerates a range of sunny, dry or seasonally wet conditions. First-year watering is helpful but not required for these hardy yet visually stunning plants!
We'll be holding events this winter to get milkweed plants in the ground. To sign up, head over to our Events page.
