Seed Blitz: Mariposa Meadows – EVENT FULL
Volunteer opportunity. Join us as we hand-harvest native seed to be used in future restoration work at Mariposa Meadow. This high-elevation meadow is a more recent addition to the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, and one that most visitors don’t visit due to a lack of established trails. Walk the meadow with us as we collect seeds from a variety of native grasses and forbs, with our BLM partners. Explore a fascinating habitat with local botanists and ecologists, learn how to ID and collect seed from native plants, and contribute to projects that will support the next generations of bees, butterflies, birds and other wildlife.
