POSTPONED: Winter Steering Committee Meeting

At this meeting the three main things we’ll cover are the draft MOU, seed blitz seed collections, and the discretionary fund. We’ll also want to come up with a fair system for using the seed that gets collected at RNPP seed blitz events and have some kind of an official way of deciding how discretionary funds get spent such as a simple “grant application” or something similar.
Some questions to ponder regarding seed: Who has priority for using the seed blitz seed? the land manager/owner? People who showed up to collect? Some combination? How do we pay for the time it takes to clean the seed? For future seed collection events should there be a process in place to decide these things beforehand?
Some questions to ponder regarding discretionary funds: Who is eligible to use discretionary funds? Anyone doing native plant work? RNPP members who have signed the MOU? Who decides if they are awarded? Steering Committee? Coordinator? What is the timeframe for making these decisions and when can people apply?
