Planting at Mountain of the Rogue
January 27, 2022 - January 28, 2022

Mountain of the Rogue Park is a BLM property near Gold Hill that offers hiking, mountain biking and dramatic views of the surrounding hills. It’s also rare oak savannah habitat that is being closely managed to reduce invasive species and bring back natives. And we could use your help.
This January, we have 800 native species plugs to put into the ground at Mountain of the Rogue. Volunteers are needed to do the planting while the weather is cool!
Join us Thursday, January 27th and/or Friday, January 28th, from 10 am – 3 pm.

Bring a lunch and water.
Please note: This site can be steep and we will be hiking with plugs to the planting sites. Though we will reschedule if the weather is prohibitively bad, be prepared for rain, wind, cold temperatures and/or sun. There is some poison oak at this site, though it will be dormant. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
