Seed Blitz: Rogue River Preserve
September 7, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

Volunteer opportunity: Join us as we hand-harvest native seed at the beautiful Rogue River Preserve! These seeds will be grown out and added to pollinator habitat projects to support bees, butterflies, birds and other wildlife. At this event will will be focusing on tarweed, or madia, an important late-season bloomer with a unique stickiness that allows this plant to stay green late in the summer. So bring a lunch and gardening gloves if you’d like to stay clean, come learn about native plant ecology, and enjoy the early-fall splendor with us and Southern Oregon Land Conservancy!
