Mid summer is a ripe time of year to collect native plant seeds for pollinator habitat restoration, pull invasive weeds, and make improvements for wildlife safety.
We will enjoy an educational and interpretive 1 mile walk on generally flat ground, Vesper Meadow Director Jeanine Moy will provide human and natural history. Join in good company with the community stewardship crew at Vesper Meadow – and some do a little something that is right-by-the-land!
Prepare: Vesper Meadow is generally 10 degrees cooler than the Rogue Valley and sometimes windy, wear long pants and close-toed walking shoes, sun protection, and sign the Waiver form here.
Bring: water bottle (or two!), sack-lunch, work gloves, cameras, garden clippers, 5 gallon buckets are encouraged if you have them!
We will provide: gloves and tools if needed, light snacks.
Please refrain from bringing dogs on this working-walk trip.
